See Overview here.

Why is the Instagram option greyed out when curating an Employee Advocacy multi-image story?

The Instagram network option is disabled if one or more uploaded images does not meet Instagram aspect ratio requirements. When curating a multi-image story, all uploaded photos must comply with supported Instagram aspect ratios. If an incompatible image is detected, a warning banner appears and the Instagram checkbox is disabled.

Can employees share multi-image stories to Instagram Personal Profiles from Employee Advocacy?

No. Direct multi-image story publishing from Employee Advocacy is exclusive to Instagram Business Profiles due to network API specifications. Personal Instagram profiles cannot receive direct multi-image story shares. Readers wishing to share to personal accounts can continue sharing single-image stories using the mobile reminder workflow.

What happens to existing multi-image stories created before the Instagram update when edited?

For any multi-image stories created prior to this launch, the Instagram network option will remain unchecked by default when the story is edited. Curators must explicitly select Instagram and verify image formatting if they wish to make an existing story shareable to Instagram Business Profiles.

Will Instagram multi-image story metrics appear in Sprout Social Post Performance reports or Advocacy reports?

Metrics from Instagram multi-image stories shared by employees appear within Employee Advocacy reports, including the General Report, Content Report, User Report, and Leaderboard. They do not appear in the core Sprout Social Post Performance Report, which tracks brand-owned profile posts.

Can curators include videos or mixed media in Employee Advocacy multi-image stories for Instagram?

No. Multi-image stories currently support photo files only (up to 9 images). Videos and mixed media combinations (combining videos and photos in one story) are not supported for multi-image stories in this release phase.
