Troubleshooting Instagram Multi-Image Story Restrictions in Advocacy Overview
Table of Contents
Employee Advocacy allows organizations to amplify brand content through their employees' professional social networks. With multi-image story sharing for Instagram Business Profiles, curators can create photo gallery stories that readers can share directly to Instagram and LinkedIn. This feature enables teams to post richer visual updates, event recaps, and product highlights directly from Employee Advocacy on desktop or mobile.
What You Can Do
With multi-image stories for Instagram Business Profiles, you can:
• Upload up to 9 images per photo story in Employee Advocacy.
• Share multi-image photo stories to connected Instagram Business Profiles and LinkedIn simultaneously.
• Arrange image sequence via drag-and-drop and designate a primary thumbnail image for the Advocacy feed.
• Share multi-image stories on the go using the Employee Advocacy mobile app for iOS and Android.
• Track shares, impressions, and employee engagements from Instagram multi-image posts across Employee Advocacy reporting.
How to Use
Curating a Multi-Image Story (Admins and Curators):
1. In Employee Advocacy, click Add Story at the top of the screen and select A media attachment.
2. Choose Photo and upload your desired images (up to 9 images). Reorder images by dragging and dropping them into your preferred sequence.
3. Choose a thumbnail image to represent the story within the Advocacy feed.
4. In the Shareable On section, ensure Instagram is selected. If an uploaded image does not meet Instagram aspect ratio specifications, the Instagram checkbox will be disabled and an alert banner will appear.
5. Add optional curator notes, message ideas, campaigns, or topics, then click Add Story or Save as Draft.
Sharing a Multi-Image Story (Readers):
1. In the Employee Advocacy web feed or mobile app, locate the multi-image story you want to share.
2. Click or tap Share.
3. Select your connected Instagram Business Profile.
4. Choose an approved message idea or customize your caption according to your company's guidelines.
5. Click Post to publish immediately or schedule the post for later.
