Impression Data Update

Overview

Employee Advocacy now includes Impression data alongside Potential Reach in your reporting. Impressions show how many times your employees' shared posts were actually viewed on LinkedIn, Facebook (Business profiles), Instagram (Business profiles), and X. This gives program administrators a clearer measure of the real attention their content is generating, making it easier to show the value of your advocacy program and optimize your content strategy.

What You Can Do

With this update, you can now view Impressions data in the Content Report and User Report to see exactly how many views each shared post and each employee's shares have generated. You can export this data via CSV for offline analysis, and you can monitor Impressions alongside other metrics in the Advocacy Network Overview widget within My Reports. If your organization prefers to focus on one metric over the other, administrators can independently toggle Impressions and Potential Reach on or off under General Settings, and these preferences apply across all reports for all users.

How to Use

Navigate to the Content Report or User Report under Advocacy reporting. You'll see a new Impressions column in the data tables. Depending on your screen size, you may need to scroll horizontally to view it. Impressions data is also included automatically in both CSV exports available from each report.

To view Impressions in the Advocacy Network Overview widget, go to My Reports and locate the widget. The Impressions metric appears alongside your existing metrics.

To toggle Impressions or Potential Reach visibility, go to Settings, then General Settings. Under the Reporting section, you can independently turn each metric on or off. Changes apply immediately across all reports for all users in your organization. Both metrics are turned on by default.
